Description

A sampler that gathers the signs of all four seasons on one piece of fabric, designed by Marjolein Bastin in her familiar naturalistic style: small garden and woodland scenes spread over the pale ground and enclosed by a border of flowers and wheat ears. It is worked in counted cross stitch following the chart, usually over two threads of the evenweave.

This is a large, highly detailed project, best suited to stitchers with some cross stitch practice who enjoy spending time on one piece. Alongside the kit it helps to have a hoop or frame and a pair of embroidery scissors. A picture frame is not included: the finished work looks at home framed as a picture for a living room or bedroom.
