A fairy in silhouette touching the moon with her wand, with a trail of tiny stars at her side: the whole design plays on the contrast between the dark figure and the pale halo around her, worked in cross stitch with a few long stitches for the curls of hair and wings.
With only a handful of colours and a large-square chart the stitching moves along quickly, although the solid dark areas take some patience: a hoop or frame to keep the fabric taut and good light both help. The frame shown in the photo is not included: once finished, the piece can be framed under glass or mounted on a board to hang.
