Fairy on the moon

A backlit fairy perched on the crescent moon with a tiny flower in her hand: the contrast between the dark silhouette and the glow of the night sky makes a striking picture with only a handful of colours. It is worked in counted cross stitch from the chart, with a few long stitches for the finer lines of the wings.

Everything needed for the stitching is in the kit; the frame shown in the photograph is not included, nor are a hoop and scissors. The dark background is stitched solid, so good light helps, and a magnifier if you like one. Once finished, the piece looks well framed with a pale mount.
