Description

A romantic scene by Willem Haenraets, built from many soft colour blends: the design is worked on counted evenweave, usually with two strands of stranded cotton over two fabric threads, and finished with back stitch, long stitch and french knots for the fine details.

With so many colour changes it helps to stitch in good light and keep the threads on the organiser provided; apart from the kit you only need a hoop or frame and small scissors. The fabric is larger than the stitched area, leaving a margin for mounting: once complete, the piece suits framing, ideally with a pale mount that brings out the gentle tones. The frame is not included.
