Summer balcony

A terrace overlooking the sea, with a wicker sofa in the shade of a tree and a sail on the horizon: a bright, detailed scene to work in needlepoint, simply following the colours printed on the canvas. Penelope antique is a double-thread canvas, so it can be stitched in standard half cross stitch or split into single threads for petit point where finer detail is wanted.

Only the canvas is supplied: threads and needle are not included. Tapestry wool is the usual choice, picked to match the printed shades, and a stretcher frame makes a piece of this size easier to handle. Once finished, it can be framed as a picture or made up into a cushion.
