Sunflowers and blue flowers

A tall arrangement of open sunflowers, set off by spikes of blue flowers and broad leaves, printed in colour on antique Penelope canvas. The work is done in half cross stitch straight onto the printed design, with no counting; the long format and the many shades in the petals do call for patience and some previous stitching experience.

Only the canvas is supplied: threads and needle are not included. The required materials list shows the DMC Soft Cotton shades matched to this design, which can be added to the cart in one go; the maker also suggests tapestry wool or pearl cotton. A frame helps to keep the canvas taut. Once finished, the panel can be framed or made up as a cushion cover.
