Tiger

A tiger cub resting on a rock with tropical leaves behind it. The design is already printed in colour on the canvas, so there is no counting involved: you simply fill in the printed areas. It is a generous size with a large background, so it is a project to enjoy slowly, and an approachable one even if you are fairly new to needlepoint.

Threads are not included: choose them separately, in tapestry wool or cotton, matching the printed colours. Penelope canvas has paired threads, which lets you work in half cross stitch or in petit point where finer detail is wanted. You will also need a tapestry needle and, if you like, a frame. Once finished, the piece can be framed.
