Agnes Teal belongs to Village Life, the Tilda collection that echoes old wallpapers and pretty vintage dresses. The print runs in vertical stripes: posies of little roses on a teal ground, alternating with pale bands edged in dots. It is a directional design, so it is worth planning the cutting accordingly, especially for pouches, pillowcases and borders.
Narrow stripes like these work well as a linking fabric between the larger prints of the collection, in quilts as much as in small sewing projects: cases, fabric baskets, aprons and doll clothes. Pre-wash the fabric before cutting, so the slight shrinkage happens before you sew; for long strips following the stripe, choose one of the larger cuts.
