Anemone Blue

Anemone Blue belongs to Jubilee, the collection Tilda put together for its twenty-fifth anniversary, gathering festive prints from earlier years. The design is symmetrical and fairly large in scale: generous anemones flanked by golden leaves and small pale blue sprigs, on a deep blue ground that makes the flowers glow.

This is a print that needs room to be seen whole: large quilt blocks, a cushion front, bags, pouches, notebook covers or a simple skirt. It sits well next to dots, checks and solids in pink, ochre and blue tones. Pre-wash the fabric before cutting, so the slight shrinkage happens before you sew.
