Ava Green

Ava Green belongs to Songbird, the collection Tone Finnanger designed after a trip to Venice, with a light, naive nod to Art Nouveau. Long-tailed birds chase each other through flowering branches in a palette of dusty greens and soft pinks on a pale ground: a close, all-over print that still looks balanced when cut into small pieces.

It works well in quilt blocks, pillowcases, curtains and lavender sachets, and equally for doll clothes and small sewing accessories. Pair it with plain fabrics or the smaller prints from the same collection. Pre-wash the fabric before cutting, so that the slight shrinkage happens before you sew.
