Bellflower Prussian belongs to Wallflower, the Tilda collection that gives a romantic twist to the ornamental styles of the 1960s and 70s. This print sits in the warmer colour story of blues and caramels: a dense, small-scale design that from a distance reads as an even blue ground flecked with orange.
That makes it a useful blender between the larger prints of the collection – in the small squares of a quilt, in borders, as the background of bags and pouches, and for the clothes and bodies of Tilda dolls. Pre-wash the fabric before cutting, so that the slight shrinkage happens before you sew. If you need long strips, choose one of the larger cuts.
