Janice Red belongs to Wallflower, the Tilda collection loosely inspired by 1960s and 70s decorative styles – here in the fresh colour story with vintage reds, pinks and greens. The print is a close-packed carpet of little flowers and leaves: a small-scale design that still reads well in small pieces, which makes it easy to use in quilt blocks, triangles and strips.
It also works as a background for bags, cushion covers and pouches, and for the clothes of Tilda dolls, sitting happily next to plain fabrics and spots in the same palette. Pre-wash the fabric before cutting, so the slight shrinkage happens before you sew. For borders or backings, choose one of the longer cuts.
