Labels & Ornaments Ochre

Labels & Ornaments Ochre belongs to Something Blue, the Tilda collection born from Tone Finnanger's love of blue and white pottery. Landscape plates, jugs and oval labels with little rose posies sit on a warm ochre ground that softens the blues and keeps the print from feeling formal.

The scale is generous, so it works best in larger pieces – a quilt centre, the back of a cushion, a bag or a table mat – and the individual medallions can also be fussy cut for appliqué and small details. Pre-wash the fabric before cutting, so the slight shrinkage happens before you sew; for long strips or borders, choose one of the larger cuts.
