Wildgarden Blue belongs to Something Blue, the Tilda collection born from Tone Finnanger's love of blue and white pottery. Here the garden becomes a bouquet of roses and wild flowers drawn in several shades of blue on a light ground, with the painted-porcelain feel of old-fashioned prints.
The scale is medium, which makes it easy to use both in quilt blocks and for cushions, bags, cot quilts, curtains and light garments; it sits happily next to the smaller prints in the same collection. Pre-wash the fabric before cutting, so the slight shrinkage happens before you sew. If you need a single piece for a backing or for long borders, choose one of the larger cuts.
