A red brick dovecote surrounded by trees in blossom, designed by Sally Swannell: an English country scene in spring, with garden tools and small birds tucked into the background to keep the stitching interesting throughout. The back stitch is used for outlines and fine details such as the weather vane and the branches.
Worked on 16 count Aida the stitches come out small and crisp, so good light and a magnifier make the work more comfortable. Besides the kit you will need small scissors and a hoop or frame; the picture frame is not included and can be chosen once the piece is finished.
