Map of Holland

A map of the Netherlands told province by province: windmills, churches, boats, animals and traditional costumes drawn in small vignettes, with seagulls over the North Sea and the national coat of arms in the bottom corner. It is a large, detailed piece with many colours and a few decorative stitches alongside the cross stitch, so it suits stitchers who already have some experience of counted work.

Everything needed for the stitching is in the kit, but the frame is not included: on a piece this size a large hoop or a scroll frame makes the work much easier to handle. Once finished, the embroidery deserves a made-to-measure frame, perhaps with a mount.
