A full, bright flower arrangement: deep pink dahlias rising above pale pink blossoms and dark berries, gathered in a green metal jug. Everything needed for the stitching is in the box, with the threads already sorted on the organiser so you never have to hunt for the next colour.
Cross stitch is worked over two linen threads, usually with one strand of stranded cotton, while the long stitches pick out finer details such as the stems. A frame is not included: leave a generous margin of fabric around the design if you plan to frame it. A hoop or stretcher frame and a blunt-tipped tapestry needle are also handy.
