Description

A typical Marjolein Bastin subject: the little bird is stitched in detail, while the straw and the tail are merely suggested with a few stitches, so the figure seems to rise out of the pale fabric. Besides cross stitch you will work long stitch and back stitch, which draw the outlines and the strands of straw.

The evenweave fabric is stitched over two threads, giving a fine but even result that suits anyone taking their first steps on evenweave; the threads come ready sorted on the organiser, so you can start straight away. You will also need a hoop or frame, and the frame shown is not included: the finished piece looks good mounted with a light mount board.
