Description

A winter wreath in the shape of a heart, made of fir sprigs, holly with red berries and white flowers, with three little wrens among the foliage. The design is worked from a counted chart on evenweave fabric: alongside the cross stitch there are French knots and long stitches that give texture to the berries and the feathers.

On evenweave the stitches are normally worked over two threads, with one or more strands of stranded cotton as the chart indicates. Everything you need to stitch the design is included: you only need a hoop or frame to work comfortably, and a picture frame for finishing, which is not supplied. It is a generous size, well suited to a framed piece for the festive season.
