Purple Silk Peonies

A bouquet of peonies in purple and pink shades, with flowering spikes, berries and softly drawn white butterflies. The pale grey fabric is left unstitched as the background, so the white details look as though they were painted onto it. The work is counted cross stitch following a symbol chart, as the fabric is not printed.

The threads come pre-cut and sorted on the organiser, which helps to keep track of the many close shades in this design, so a little experience with subtle colour changes is useful. Hoop, scissors and frame are not part of the kit. Once finished, the piece looks well framed, perhaps with a light mount.
