Description

A frosty day in the countryside: snow lies on the roofs of the wooden houses, the stream is frozen and bare trees stand out against a pale sky. The design is full of soft whites, greys and blues, lifted by ochre touches in the dry branches, and is worked in counted cross stitch following the symbol chart.

Aida 16 count has a fine weave, so good light and, if it helps, a magnifier make the work easier. Fabric, threads and needle are all included, while a hoop or frame and the picture frame are not part of the kit. For the large snowy areas it is easiest to stitch rows of half crosses and complete them on the way back, for a more even surface.
