Chasse a la Licorne

A unicorn hunt in the style of medieval tapestries: huntsmen with spears, hounds in full chase and a white unicorn among trees and flowers on a warm red ground. The design is already printed in colour on the canvas, so there is no counting: you simply follow the print, filling the whole surface with diagonal stitches. It is restful, repetitive work, though a panel this size calls for time and patience.

Threads are not included: you will need tapestry wool or cotton to match the printed colours, along with a blunt tapestry needle and a frame to keep the canvas taut. Once finished, the panel can be framed or hung as a wall tapestry.
