Aubery Green

Aubery Green belongs to Songbird, the collection Tone Finnanger drew after a trip to Venice, giving the Art Nouveau style a lighter, more naive reading. A woman in a pink dress appears among green blooms, dragonflies and golden tendrils, in a dusty pastel palette on a pale ground.

This is a large-scale print, best used where it can be seen whole: the centre blocks of a quilt, the back of a cushion, bags, or panels to frame or mount on a project case. It sits happily next to the smaller prints in the same collection. Pre-wash the fabric before cutting, so the slight shrinkage happens before you sew; for long bands, choose one of the larger cuts.
