Garden Vista Dove

Garden Vista is the feature design of Bloomsville, Tilda's summer collection: Tone Finnanger drew on old chinoiseries and a motif found on a vintage vase, then redrew it in the bright colours of the range. The figures are large and tell a story, so the fabric looks its best where it can be seen whole – the centre blocks of a quilt, borders, cushion fronts and backs, bags and pouches.

It sits happily next to the Abloom blenders and the smaller Bloomsville prints, which give the eye somewhere to rest. Pre-wash the fabric before cutting, so the slight shrinkage happens before you sew; if you need long strips or several repeats of the scene, choose one of the larger cuts.
