Solid Terracotta

Solid Terracotta is one of the plain cottons in the Tilda Basics range: a warm, slightly dusty pink that gives the eye a rest between prints and ties different patterns together. It is the usual choice for quilt backgrounds and borders, the back of a cushion, or the plain parts of bags, aprons and fabric dolls.

It has the typical quilting cotton handle: firm, easy to rotary cut and easy to machine sew. The basic cut is roughly half a metre by half the bolt width, so for long strips or for backing a project choose one of the larger sizes. Pre-wash the fabric before cutting, so that the slight shrinkage happens before you sew.
