An English country cottage under the snow, with a wreath on the door and geese coming up the path: a detailed Christmas scene in which the brickwork, the hedges and the window panes are built up stitch by stitch. The design is worked from a colour chart by counting the squares of the Aida; back stitch sharpens the outlines, while the beads and sparkle thread catch the light on the snow and the decorations.
It suits stitchers with some cross stitch practice behind them. You will also need a hoop or frame and small scissors, and the picture frame is not included: once finished, the piece can be framed or made up into a cushion.
