Rêver

A striped boot that turns into a small illustrated world: a dragon, lanterns, clocks, keys and a black cat, with a few touches of red and gold to break up the graphic black and white. Back stitch draws the outlines and fractional stitches soften the curves, so the kit suits stitchers who have already worked a counted design or two.

Work the metallic threads in short lengths to keep them from twisting. The frame is not included, and neither are a hoop and scissors: the tall, narrow finished piece looks good framed on its own or alongside the other designs in Sally King's shoe collection.
