Lazy Sundae

An evening shoe built entirely from ice cream: a sundae glass with cream, cherries and a wafer, a cone with a pink swirl and strawberries, a beach ball and a little tub with a spoon. It belongs to Sally King's series of shoes and is worked in full counted cross stitch, with a few backstitch outlines and beads for sparkle.

The stranded cottons come ready sorted, so the right shade is easy to find even among the close tones. You will also need a hoop or frame, which is not included, and a frame once the stitching is done: this cheerful, colourful design suits a kitchen, a dining room or a teenager's bedroom.
