Description

An evening shoe imagined out of autumn leaves, flowers and petals, from original artwork by Sally King for the Shoe Art range. The design is worked by counting the stitches on white Aida and combines cross stitch, fractional stitches for the shading, back stitch for the fine outlines and French knots for the smallest details, so it suits stitchers with a little experience who enjoy intricate subjects.

The stranded cottons come pre-sorted by colour, which means you can start straight away without matching shade numbers. Alongside the kit, a hoop or frame and a small pair of embroidery scissors are useful; framing is not included, but the tall, narrow finished piece looks lovely framed.
