Description

A soft-furred kitten sitting to watch a ladybird: Hannah Dale's watercolour style is built up with fractional stitches and back stitch, while French knots add the small details. The white speckle printed fabric becomes part of the picture, so there is no solid background to fill in.

The threads come ready sorted on an organiser, handy if you stitch in short sessions or take your work with you. The hoop is not included: a 7 in hoop is the intended finish for this round design, or the piece can be framed instead. Counted cross stitch means following the chart square by square; good light and small scissors help.
