Description

A large-format portrait with plenty of shading across the face, the hair and the embroidered robe: the kit comes with 43 DMC colours and is worked on evenweave fabric, stitching each cross over two threads. Alongside the cross stitch there are long stitches and french knots for the finer details of the flowers and the hairstyle.

This is a demanding project, best suited to stitchers who have already tackled designs with many colour changes and are comfortable reading a dense chart. A hoop or frame and good light make the work easier; the frame is not included, so it is worth planning the finished size before you start. Once completed, the piece is ideal for framing as a picture.
