Description

A portrait in strong colours, with the greens of the background echoed in the eyes and a red rose for contrast. The counted cross stitch is worked from a large-square chart; back stitch defines the features and the hair, while a few french knots add texture.

This is a project for stitchers with some experience: there are many colour changes and the skin tones need care. A frame or hoop and good light make working on 12 threads per cm linen much easier. The frame shown in the photo is not included: once finished, the piece can be framed as you like, with or without a mount.
