A corner of a garden in full bloom, worked in soft watercolour shades: tall spires at the back give way to white and yellow flower heads at the front. The design is counted, so you follow the chart starting from the centre of the fabric; alongside full cross stitch there are half cross stitches for the airy passages, back stitch for the outlines and French knots for the flower centres.
Evenweave can be stitched over two threads for a soft finish, and a hoop or frame helps keep the tension even. The frame is not included: the finished piece is generously sized and lends itself well to being framed as a picture.
