Beverly Caramel belongs to Wallflower, the Tilda collection that takes a romantic look at the prints of the 1960s and 70s. The design is dense and graphic: flat blue and orange blooms and cream leaves spread over a warm caramel and rust ground. It is a fabric with instant character, good for bags, aprons, soft skirts, pillowcases and the larger blocks of a quilt.
Because the print covers the whole surface, it also works well in small pieces, leaving no empty gaps – simply pair it with solids or small-scale prints from the same caramel and blue range. Pre-wash the fabric before cutting so the slight shrinkage happens before you sew, and choose one of the larger cuts for borders and backings.
