Confetti Pine

Confetti Pine belongs to Pie in the Sky, the collection Tone Finnanger dedicates to daydreaming children and the imaginary worlds they build. The print is small and cheerful: little bunches of flowers scattered like confetti over a deep green ground dotted with pale leaves. From a distance the dark background reads first, so this fabric works well as the 'dark' tone in a brightly coloured quilt.

Being a small-scale design, it suits the smaller patchwork pieces, blocks and borders, and also Tilda dolls and softies, where a large print would be lost. Pre-wash the fabric before cutting, so the slight shrinkage happens before you sew; for long strips, choose one of the larger cuts.
