Cottonfield Ochre

Cottonfield Ochre belongs to Sanctuary, Tilda's soft, muted autumn/winter collection built around the idea of a safe place – the woods, the sewing room, bed with a good book. The print is small and evenly spaced, with sprigs of flowering cotton repeating across a warm olive ground, which makes it a useful background fabric in quilt blocks, borders and linings.

Because the motifs are small it also suits tiny pieces, hexagon patchwork, dolls and Tilda accessories. It sits happily with the other fabrics in the collection and with plain earthy shades. Pre-wash the fabric before cutting, so the slight shrinkage happens before you sew.
