Topsy Turvy Plum

Topsy Turvy Plum belongs to Pie in the Sky, the collection Tone Finnanger dedicated to daydreaming children and the colourful worlds they invent. The print is small and densely packed: sprigs twisting in every direction, with orange and pink blossoms standing out against the dark plum ground.

Because the scale is small, it works well even when cut into little pieces: patchwork blocks, hexagon quilts, linings, pouches, cushions and clothes for Tilda dolls. The dark background makes it useful for adding depth to a layout built from the lighter prints in the same collection. Pre-wash the fabric before cutting, so the slight shrinkage happens before you sew.
