Willy Nilly Mustard

Willy Nilly Mustard belongs to Pie in the Sky, the collection Tone Finnanger dedicated to daydreaming children and the colourful worlds they invent. The print is small and densely packed: little posies of multicoloured flowers set in even rows on a warm mustard ground, a scale that still reads well when cut into small pieces.

It is an easy fabric for quilt blocks, borders and English paper piecing, and it works just as well on bags, pouches, aprons and Tilda dolls. The mustard ground bridges the paler and the brighter prints in the same collection. Pre-wash the fabric before cutting, so that the slight shrinkage happens before you sew.
