Blue flowers

A floral design by Marjolein Bastin, with cool blues standing out against the pale background and the fine detail of the embroidered cloth. Everything needed for the stitching is in the kit: you follow the chart and count the stitches, a project that asks for some care with the shading but suits anyone who has already finished a piece or two.

27 count evenweave is usually worked over two threads, so a hoop or frame to keep the tension even is useful, along with a pair of sharp embroidery scissors. The frame shown in the photo is not included: the finished piece can be framed as you like or mounted on a padded panel.
