Description

A floral still life by Marjolein Bastin: warm-toned garden flowers in a blue cup, with butterflies and a ladybird among the petals. The design is worked by counting stitches on evenweave fabric, usually over two threads, following the large-square chart; alongside the crosses there is back stitch for the outlines and a little long stitch.

The threads come ready sorted on the organiser, so you can start straight away. All you need to add is a hoop or frame and a small pair of scissors; the frame shown is not included either. The generous size and the many colours make this a long project, though the stitching itself stays straightforward.
