One of Marjolein Bastin's mice, sitting among balls of wool with her needles busy: a gentle design in greens and reds, with back stitch picking out the knitting needles, the whiskers and the thread trailing across the fabric. The chart is printed in large squares, so it stays easy to read even if you are fairly new to counted cross stitch.
The stitching is worked over evenweave by counting threads, so it helps to start from the centre and to mount the fabric in a hoop or frame, which is not part of the kit, along with small scissors and a picture frame. Once finished, the piece can be framed or made up into a cushion for the sewing corner.
