A fairy with wide blue wings, dressed in green and orange and dotted with small white flowers: a fantasy design with many colour transitions, worked on linen over counted threads and charted on large squares, which makes the shaded areas easier to follow.
Linen with 12 threads per cm is usually stitched over two threads, with two strands of stranded cotton for the cross stitch and one for the back stitch; long stitch is used for the elongated details of petals and wings. The kit provides fabric, threads, needle and instructions: you only need a hoop or frame and a small pair of scissors. Given the size and the number of colours, this is a demanding project for experienced stitchers. The frame shown is not included.
