Abloom Petrol belongs to Bloomsville, the Tilda summer collection built on bright colours and flowers in bloom. It is one of the Abloom blenders, made to sit behind and between the larger feature prints: the floral design runs all over with no strong direction, so it can be cut freely into squares, strips and triangles without having to centre a motif.
The pink against the petrol ground works well both in quilt blocks and in small sewing projects: linings, pouches, cushions, dolls and decorations. Pre-wash the fabric before cutting, so any shrinkage happens before you sew. For borders or long strips, choose one of the larger cuts.
