Beverly Blue belongs to Wallflower, the Tilda collection that takes a romantic look at 1960s and 70s design. This print shows the bolder side of the range, with coral, pink and caramel blooms standing out against a blue ground. The motif is large and densely packed, so it works best over generous surfaces: quilt backs or centre blocks, a cushion, a bag, a skirt or an apron.
It sits well next to solids and the smaller prints from the same collection, which calm the rhythm of the flowers. Pre-wash the fabric before cutting, so the slight shrinkage happens before you sew; if you need long strips or whole motifs, choose one of the larger cuts.
