Confetti Blue

Confetti Blue belongs to Pie in the Sky, the collection Tone Finnanger dedicates to daydreaming children: a deep blue ground covered with pale petals, with brightly coloured little posies repeating across it. The print is small and evenly spaced, so it works well cut into small pieces – patchwork blocks, trims, bag interiors and linings – as well as on cushions and doll clothes.

The dark ground is handy for adding depth to a layout built from light fabrics, and it sits easily beside the pinks and yellows of the same collection. Pre-wash the fabric before cutting, so the slight shrinkage happens before you sew; for borders and long strips, choose one of the larger cuts.
