Agnes Ochre

Agnes Ochre belongs to Village Life, the Tilda collection that looks back to old wallpapers and pretty vintage dresses. The ochre stripes with their dotted lines and little rose sprigs have an immediately nostalgic feel. It is a directional print, so it is worth deciding in advance whether the stripes should run along the length or the width of your project.

It suits quilt blocks, linings and drawstring bags, aprons, doll clothes and small sewing accessories, and sits happily next to the other autumnal fabrics in the collection, in rust, ochre and green. Pre-wash the fabric before cutting, so that the slight shrinkage happens before you sew. For long strips or borders, choose one of the larger cuts.
