Squirrel

One of Marjolein Bastin's nature studies: the squirrel is shaded in soft browns that give depth to its bushy tail, while the green leaves and the acorn add small touches of colour against the plain pale background. The threads come ready sorted by colour on the organiser, so you can start stitching without winding or separating skeins.

Besides cross stitch there are a few long stitches and back stitch for the outlines and the details of the face, easy enough to follow on the large-square chart. You will also need a hoop or frame and small scissors, and the frame shown is not included. Once finished, the piece looks well framed with a pale mount.
