A mouse in a green dress strolling among red poppies, with a couple of ladybirds at her feet: a bright, storybook-style design drawn in a naturalistic hand. Besides cross stitch there are long stitches for the fine stems and french knots for the small details, both explained in the instructions.
Evenweave is worked over counted threads, usually two at a time, and its regular weave makes the large-square chart easy to follow. You will also want a hoop or frame and a small pair of scissors, and a frame for display is not included: the finished upright panel looks well on a kitchen or bedroom wall.
