Bellflower Mulberry belongs to Wallflower, the Tilda collection that takes a romantic look at the ornamental styles of the 1960s and 70s. The print is small and densely packed: yellow and turquoise bellflowers peeping out among pink pebbles on a warm red-brown ground. From a distance it reads almost as a solid, which makes it a useful background and a good blender between larger motifs.
It suits the small pieces of patchwork, borders and cushion backs, as well as bags, pouches and doll clothes. Pre-wash it before cutting, so the slight shrinkage happens before you sew. If you need long strips or larger pieces, choose one of the bigger cuts.
