Solid Rain Grey

Solid Rain Grey is a plain shade from the Tilda Solids range: a clean, slightly cool grey that gives the printed Tilda collections room to breathe. It is the kind of fabric worth keeping in the cupboard for quilt backgrounds, sashing between blocks, borders, cushion backs and the linings of bags and pouches.

The cotton is firm and stable, so it cuts cleanly into strips and squares and does not shift under the needle; it also works for doll bodies and small accessories. Pre-wash it before cutting, so the slight shrinkage happens before you sew. If you need it for backgrounds or backings, choose one of the larger cuts.
